Building a level of fitness that is adaptable requires the right mix of training types. This means targeting the specific areas you need to improve while maintaining the rest. Our group classes focus on developing multiple types of fitness, endurance, agility, strength, and balance.

Training smart is just as important as training hard! We work on different components of your body’s performance outputs on different days, so you can train more regularly, with more consistent results and less injuries.

The primary focus of our group classes is building adaptable and functional health and fitness, so nothing stops you from tackling a game of rugby or a 24-hour adventure race! We’ve spent years testing and refining our programming and training methods, so you can be sure you’re getting the most out of every session.

We’ve been heavily involved in the outdoor sporting community for years. That’s underpinned by more than a decade of experience in personal training, high-level run coaching and group fitness instruction.

What you can expect from our workouts

Our group classes focus on developing multiple types of fitness, endurance, agility, strength, and balance.

  • Check in. Arrive five minutes early to find your spot on the floor and meet your instructor.
  • Mobility work. Each session starts off with five minutes of mobility work, which over time will compound into more range of motion, less pain and greater flexibility.
  • The workout! We combine weight training, cardio and core all into one EPIC 45-minute workout. The exercises are easily modified to challenge your fitness level and no workout is ever the same – it’s literally impossible to get bored.
  • High fives. You’re heart-rate is pumping and your muscles are tired (in a good way). Get your high fives, give yourself a big pat on the back and we’ll see you at the next session.

I have been exercising for over 5 years, and have been training at Ascend Fit for the past 9 months. The results have been outstanding! My mindset has changed from exercising to be skinny, to exercising to be strong, and with that have come body composition changes that I have never seen before.

The classes are well planned and Liam and the team are great at motivating and challenging you to get the best out of your workout. It is a very welcoming and supportive atmosphere, and I would encourage people of all ages or levels of fitness to join!
