Ready to take on a new fitness adventure?

Ascend Fit provides specialised training programmes for obstacle course racing, trail running and adventure racing events in New Zealand. 

Our goal is to see more Kiwis taking advantage of the great outdoors through awesome fitness events. With access to the right support, you can achieve more than you ever dreamed you could. 

Choose from our calendar of events, join a training intake (these vary between 6-10 weeks depending on the event) and let's get you race day ready to smash your goals.

What's Involved?

Whether you're interested in training for an obstacle course, trail run event or an adventure race, all training intakes include a variation of the following: weekly group runs concentrating on hills, pace and different terrain endurance, and fortnightly group workouts or workshops focused on the event's specific technical skills and fitness requirements.

About Liam

Hi team! My name is Liam Wilkinson. I'm a personal trainer with 10 years experience in the health and fitness industry and I specialise in training motivated individuals to tackle awesome fitness adventures. 

My competitive sporting background is in martial arts, adventure racing, trail running, and obstacle course racing (OCR) including competing both in New Zealand and overseas in OCR events like Spartan and World's Toughest Mudder. 

With purpose, the right programme, and support, you can achieve amazing things with your health & fitness. I've used my extensive experience as a fitness coach, personal trainer, competitive runner and OCR racer to create a variety of training options to help as many people as I can live a life full of adventure through obstacle course racing, trail runs and multisport adventure races. 

The ultimate dream? To bring together a community of people who enjoy getting outdoors and who can support each other to rise up to the challenge of a new fitness experience.
